Message from the Mayor:
We are pleased with the progress we have made with this administration. I promised to the citizens through my campaign and my inauguration to bring teamwork, accountability and service to city government. We are delivering on that promise and making Napavine a better place to live.
Our beautiful city is attracting growth and jobs. We will soon have water and sewer services extended to Exit 72. This project was funded by private dollars. The city partnered with private land owners by allowing for development extentions and reduced water / sewer hook up fees for the first year after the services are functioning. The goal is to entice more people to build and develop that area. This helps the property owners that funded the project to allow for reduced up front costs in development and it will add users to our utility services. This will help stabilize our rising costs of sewer that we pay as part owner of the Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility in Chehalis. The more users on the system, the less it costs each of us.
In closing, I am optimistic about the future of our city. I am thankful for the people that live here and of the dedication of so many to make this place a home. Our city is strong and growing and it is because of the hard work of people like you that we have gotten to where we are at today! As always your input is absolutely essential in making Napavine what we expect it to be.
There is a lot of opportunities and change that will continue to come up. But I can't do this without YOU. I will need your patience at times, your input, your ideas and most importantly your support as we continue down this path into the future. You are a valuable member in this city and together we will make the City of Napavine a safe, clean and progressive city with a small town atmosphere by providing teamwork, accountability and service.
